Health Wealth & Happiness
Last night my yoga instructor surprised me by giving me a copy of The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and her timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Just moments before during meditation, I asked to be open to messages as they came into my life. And she slapped a big one right in my hands.
Whenever we give unconditionally, we create new opportunities. It’s an extremely powerful magnetizing force in life because it takes place simultaneously on a physical, mental and spiritual planes.
Scientifically, Newton’s third law of motion says that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Spiritually, we reap what we sow. Put these laws into action and we attract and create abundance.
Unfortunately, the thought of giving directly challenges our lopsided perceptions and beliefs about scarcity and lack. Especially now when we’re in the midst of such economic turmoil. But the power of giving is exactly what we need to move forward. We all can give spiritually, mentally and physically.
Here are some examples:
Spiritually
• Unconditional love to everyone
• Pray for the abundance of others
• Express gratitude
Mentally
• A kind thought
• A kind word. Better yet, a kind note.
• Support and encouragement
Physically
• Your time to worthy causes
• Your financial resources to worthy causes
• Your ideas, wisdom and knowledge
The books starts with a story about a beggar who sat on the same box for 15 years without opening it. Then a stranger came along and suggested he open it. To his surprise he’d been sitting on a pot of gold this entire time. We are all sitting on our own pots of gold–it’s time we discover it and share it.
