As the sun comes up in America and we frantically prepare insane amounts of food for the day, I’d like to pause and give thanks. I couldn’t possibly list everything but I’ll share with you a few that come to mind.
- Everyone who takes time to read this blog. Without you I wouldn’t have the courage to keep pushing myself outside my comfort zone and growing.
- My life in middle America. Although I resisted moving back here from London two years ago, it certainly has turned out to be an amazing experience.
- My life partner and best friend. We have been through some insane challenges since we met and it’s only made our relationship stronger. I love how we can laugh so hard we cry.
- Our families both here and around the world. We’re lucky to have such a big and diverse family. They all have taught us so much.
- Our friends. I love how we stay in touch over the years despite our lives changing and moving all over the globe.
- My health. I’m so grateful that I went from being a smoker to a marathon running yoga lover.
- My talents and my career. Growing up on a farm gave me professional advantages. It was up to me to achieve my dreams myself which forced me to learn so much.
Giving thanks is something I love to do everyday, not just once a year. It has changed my life in so many ways. And for that, I’m thankful.
