Reduce Your Cholesterol Levels for Free

Did you know that writing down affectionate thoughts about close friends and family can reduce your cholesterol levels? A study monitored a group that wrote loving thoughts about one person in their life for 20 minutes three times in a five-week period. So just one total hour out of 840 hours.

After 25 days they all showed a significant reduction in cholesterol. Those who wrote directly to someone showed even greater reductions. This is most likely because expressing affection towards someone else most likely will be reciprocate.

My friend, Stacey, told me she loves that her friends still write snail-mail letters to each other. Even though it only happens at best a couple times a year, she’s so moved by receiving a hand written letter, she talks about it months later. That seems like such a better way to a healthy heart than skipping dessert.
