“Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success.”
– Lao Tzu (Taoist philosopher)
Cycling home last night, I came to “the big hill” where I normally dismount and walk. This time I decided to ride it through while repeating in my head, “You have tons of inner strength. Use your inner strength.” Magically that big hill was a breeze. I got up just fine. Now imagine the effect of thinking like that all the time.
To be successful, you must first abandon all those negative thoughts and words and replace them with positive thoughts of gratitude and optimism. By doing this, you will attract abundance in your life and be successful.
A good way to start is with a gratitude journal. Write down a few things you’re thankful for each day. Eventually you will see goodness everywhere. And your life will change. You will see creative opportunities everywhere.
I’ve only been practicing this for a few months, but so much has changed in just that short time. I discovered great new opportunities, taken care of my health, and invested in knowledge. My time is far more productive and life has been pretty fun.
And on days when those positive thoughts are hard to come by, I take it down a gear and really peddle hard. When I eventually conquer that hill I’ve gained more insight and knowledge than if I would have simply gave up and walked.
